Acid Rain Report Released

"Acid Rain and the Adirondacks: A Research Summary," published by the Adirondack Lakes Survey Corporation, summarizes Adirondack long-term monitoring research findings. The report is available electronically at http://www.adirondacklakessurvey.org/

A limited number of printed copies are available from NYSERDA. The report is also available on CD. To request a hard copy or CD, send an e-mail to emep@nyserda.org with the words “Acid Rain Report” in the subject line, and specify hard copy or CD.

Adirondack Research Consortium - Conference Announcement

The Adirondack Research Consortium (ARC) will hold its Thirteenth Annual Conference on the Adirondacks on May 24-25, 2006, at the Hilton Hotel in Lake Placid, New York. The Conference will include presentations of research papers, posters and topic sessions on all aspects of the Adirondack natural environment, history, politics, economy, and culture. This interdisciplinary, regional consortium is a “must attend” for physical and social scientists, humanists, planners, environmentalists, government officials, and all those interested in this important region.
